Damascus Steak Knife Set (Set of 6) — Majesty Series
Last updated: August 25, 2026
The right steak knife doesn't just cut — it completes the meal. The Majesty Series Steak Knife Set brings six matching serrated blades to the dinner table. Each blade is Damascus-pattern stainless steel with a serrated edge, paired with ergonomic hardwood handles. Six knives. One presentation. $49.99. Hand-wash only. Backed by our 2-Year Epicurean Promise.
What is a Damascus-pattern serrated steak knife?
Steak knives do one job differently than kitchen knives. A chef's knife slices; a steak knife saws — the serrations grip the crust of a seared protein and pull through cleanly without crushing the meat underneath.
These knives use a Damascus-pattern stainless steel blade — a single-piece stainless blade with a Damascus wave pattern on the surface for presentation. The pattern is decorative; the underlying blade is a solid, capable serrated stainless knife. At the price point of $49.99 for six knives, this is what an honest Damascus-look steak set looks like. Brands claiming "real forged 67-layer Damascus" on a 6-piece steak set under $150 are almost always laser-etched too — they just aren't telling you.
Why serrated for steak?
Serrated edges pierce the seared crust of a steak, roast, or chop on the first stroke and glide through the interior. A plain edge slides on the crust before it cuts, which crushes the meat and pushes juices onto the plate instead of keeping them in the bite.
The 15° blade angle on these serrations gives you clean cuts even on well-done cuts, ribeye caps, prime rib, lamb shoulder, and — a favorite on the dinner table — a properly rested pork chop.
Who is the Majesty Steak Knife Set best for?
- Anyone who serves steak, roast, or lamb at home. The single biggest table upgrade a home cook can make for under $50.
- Housewarming and wedding registry gifts. Six matched steak knives is a common gap in new-couple kitchens. Complete the table with one gift.
- Dinner-party hosts. Six matching knives means every seat at the table looks the same, no scrambling to find a decent knife for the sixth guest.
- Gift for the person who bought a Traeger, Big Green Egg, or Weber Smokey Mountain. They're serving smoked brisket, tomahawk ribeyes, and rack of lamb — they need real steak knives, not the ones that came with their block set 10 years ago.
- Complements any Majesty or Tidal 8-piece set. If you already own our 8pc kitchen knives, these are the matching table knives that finish the collection.
What comes in the set?
- 6 × serrated steak knives — one for every seat at a standard dinner table
- Blade: Damascus-pattern stainless steel, serrated edge, 15° angle
- Handle: Ergonomic hardwood, balanced for precise control

How do I care for serrated Damascus steak knives?
Serrated edges are lower-maintenance than straight edges — they don't need honing or whetstone sharpening the way a chef's knife does. But they still ruin fast if you dishwasher them.
- Hand-wash only, dry immediately. Never dishwasher. Dishwasher chemistry pits the stainless finish and the tumble cycle wears the serration tips. Warm water, mild dish soap, wipe dry with a soft cloth.
- Store flat in a knife block, drawer insert, or roll. Loose in a drawer, the serration tips catch on other utensils and dull unevenly.
- Do not sharpen on a whetstone. Serrated edges need a specialty serrated sharpener (or a ceramic rod dragged through each serration individually). Most home cooks never need to sharpen these — with hand-wash care, the serrations stay effective for 5-10 years of regular use.
- Cut on wood or soft plastic cutting boards, or directly on the dinner plate. These are steak knives — plate use is fine. Just avoid stone or ceramic serving boards for hard sawing motions.
What real owners say
"Finally, a matched set. We had four different steak knives from four different sets and it drove me crazy. Six of these look great on the table and cut through a ribeye like nothing."

Frequently asked questions
Q: Is this real forged Damascus or laser-etched pattern?
A: Damascus-pattern stainless — the wave pattern is on the surface for presentation, and the underlying blade is a solid single-piece serrated stainless steel knife. Real forged Damascus at the $49.99 price point (for six knives) does not exist honestly.
Q: What's the blade steel?
A: Damascus-pattern stainless steel — corrosion-resistant and suited to daily table use with hand-wash care.
Q: Can these be sharpened?
A: Serrated edges cannot be sharpened on a standard whetstone — you'd flatten the teeth. Use a specialty serrated sharpener or run a ceramic rod through each serration individually. In practice most home cooks never need to sharpen these; hand-washed serrated stainless steak knives stay effective for 5-10 years.
Q: Are they dishwasher safe?
A: No. Hand-wash only, dry immediately. Dishwasher chemistry pits the stainless finish and the tumble cycle wears the serration tips.
Q: Do they come with a gift box?
A: Yes — presented in a matching Majesty gift box, suitable for weddings, housewarmings, or holiday giving.
Q: Will they cut through a well-done ribeye or a bone-in pork chop?
A: Yes for cooked meat (any doneness) and yes for cutting alongside a bone. Do not use to cut through bone — no serrated steak knife is designed for that.
Q: What if a handle fails?
A: 2-Year Epicurean Promise: if a handle fails under normal use within 2 years, we cover the cost of that knife (replacement or refund — your choice). Send us a photo showing our logo and we'll make it right — no fine print, no receipts required, and no upsell for extended coverage (it's already included at the price you paid). Read the full 2-Year Epicurean Promise.
Q: Where are these made?
A: Manufactured at a family-run kitchen cutlery factory. Designed, quality-controlled, warranted, and shipped by The Epicurean Cook — a small family business in Ohio (USPTO Reg. No. 8307059).
